At 1608, Sussex EOC alerted Milton, Lewes, and Georgetown Fire Departments for a structure fire on Buckskin Trail, in the Beaver Creek development, just south of Harbeson. As units went responding, Sussex advised units of a car on fire inside an attached garage with an occupant refusing to leave the home. Lt. Millman (85-24) was in the area and arrived on scene to find a two story single family home with smoke showing from the garage and a vehicle on fire in the driveway. Lt. Millman confirmed the occupant was out of the residence. Engine-tanker 85-2 arrived and stretched a preconnect mattydelle line to extinguish the car fire. Engine 77-4 and Engine 82-1 arrived next, and sent their crews to check the garage and residence for extension. Once crews confirmed there was no extension, Command scaled the incident back to the first two engines. A-85 and Medic 106 evaluated one patient, who subsequently was transported to Beebe for evaluation. Lt. Millman placed the scene under control and returned the remaining units.
