Milton Takes Over Buffalo Wild Wings

Today, Milton Fire Department held their "Take Over" Fundraiser event at the Buffalo Wild Wings. Thanks to all that participated in the wing challenge, or just came out in support of the Bww's Milton Fire Department, Inc. fundraiser last night at Buffalo Wild Wings. The night was highlighted by another demonstration of wing eating dominance by our own Kenny Terhune,. He consumed twelve wings in a new record time of 1:47...WOW !!!...

Training with Station 75

Tonight, several members from Milton travelled to Station 75 in Ellendale to drill with the men of Ellendale. Crews completed a "Firefighter Combat Challenge" Course. Milton members want to send a thank you out to Ellendale for the invite.

Automatic Alarm

May 12, 2017

Just after the noon hour, crews responded to Spinnaker Lane in the Shipbuilders Village development for a fire alarm activation. Crews arrived and checked the residence to find multiple smoke detectors activated. After a brief investigation, no smoke or fire was found and the system was determined to be malfunctioning. Crews turned the scene over to the owner and cleared.

Landing Zone Assist

May 12, 2017

Today at 1045, crews were dispatched to set up a landing zone for EMS at 611 Federal St. Engine 4 and the Rescue responded and set up a safe area for Trooper 2. Crews assisted EMS as needed loading the patient. Trooper 2 transported one patient to CER. B-85 and Sussex County Medic 101 also responded.

Assist Station 82

May 08, 2017

At 0106, Station 85 was alerted as part of the box to assist Lewes with a working townhouse fire. Milton units arrived and were put to work in both the fire building and the "d" side exposure. Crews battled the fire for just over 2 hours before being released by 82-15.

On todays date, Lewes Fire Captain Jake Slater was involved in a work accident and suffered serious burns. He was initially seen at Beebe Healthcare and later flown to John Hopkins Bayview. Please keep Jake, his Family, and the Lewes Fire Department in your thoughts and prayers as they travel this long road to recovery.
