11/24/19 Sta. 85 responded to a vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer. Units arrived to find a tractor trailer on its side. Luckily there were no injuries. The roadway was closed for an extended amount of time.
Tonight, members from Milton were invited to the Fire School in Georgetown by Indian River to participate in structural firefighting evolutions. Indian River invited Milton as both companies share response areas and are due in each others local. This training gives each company a chance to work with the other in a training environment, so we can be more efficient on a real fire scene. Thank you again Indian River for the invite.
Today, crews manned the brush truck and command unit and assisted the Fire Police with traffic control for a 5 K race that was being run in the town limits.
Today, the Cape Lady Viking Field Hockey team won the State Championship. It has become a Cape tradition that the three local fire departments to the Cape district (Lewes, Milton, and Rehoboth) escorted the Champions back in to town after the win. Way to go girls.
Today, a member of the Delmarva Christian dropped off some homeade soup for our members and employees to enjoy. On behalf of the officers and members, THANK YOU!!
Tonight, crews from Milton and Rehoboth trained with our brothers and sisters from Lewes at the Beebe Medical Center. The drill was on a mock helicopter crash on the hospitals helipad. Thank you Sta. 82 for the invite.

Today, members from Milton provided an engine cover at Laurel Station 81 while they completed a control burn on the Oneils Brother Hardware store. We would like to thank Laurel Chief Jeff Hill for the invite and hospitality.
Tonight, members handed out candy and fire prevention supplies to the children who trick or treated in the Milton local. We had a great night out with the community. Thank you for your continued support.
