Vehicle Accident

January 27, 2018

1/27/18 at 00:02 Sussex EOC alerted Sta. 85 for a vehicle accident unknown. Upon arrival units found one vehicle rollover with four patients. Crews worked for 20 mins securing the vehicle, cleaning debris off the roadway, and even helping get the victims personal belongings out of the vehicle. All patients refused treatment. Units responding were 85-8, B-85, E-85-4, E-85-5, Rescue 85, 85 Fire-police, and DSP. Deputy Chief Hopkins commanded the incident.

Vehicle Fire

January 26, 2018

At 14:52 hours Sussex EOC alerted Sta. 85 for a vehicle fire in the area of luther gardens. 85 command was estblished by (85-16) assistant Chief Clendaneil. When crews arrived on scene they found fire in the engine compartment and the fire was quickly extinguished. Crews worked for approximently 20 mins with fire suppresion, clean up, and even helping the owner removing personal belogings. 858, E-85-4, E-85-5 all made a response.

Commerical Building Fire

January 15, 2018

1/15/18 at 12:30 hours Sussex EOC alerted Sta. 85, Sta. 75 (Ellendale), Sta. 89 (Memorial), Ambulance 75, and Sussex County EMS for a commercial building fire at the Coin Laundry. Arriving units found nothing evident from the exterior and the incident was held to 85 units. E-85-4, Ladder-85, Engine Tanker 75-8, Engine Tanker 89-5, B-85, A-75, and Medic 101 all made a response. Assistant Chief Dotterer commanded the incident.

1/12/18 at 01:03 hours Sussex EOC alerted Sta. 85, and Sussex County EMS for a vehicle accident with rolloever and ejection. B-85 transported one priority one. 85-8, B-85, E-85-5, E-85-4, Rescue-85, ME104, Milton PD, and DSP all made a response. Assitant Chief Clendaniel commanded the incident.

1/8/18 Sussex EOC alerted Sta. 82 (Lewes), Sta. 85, and Sta. 86 (Rehoboth) for a residential fire. E-85-5, E-85-4 both made a response. Units operated for two hours before clearing per command.

12/28/17 Sussex EOC alerted Sta. 85 to assist Sta. 75 (Ellendale) with a working residential fire. E-85-4, E-85-5, and Tanker-85 all made a response. Units worked for three hours before clearing.

Multiple Structure Fire

December 25, 2017

12/25/17 Christmas night Sussex EOC alerted Sta. 85 to assist Sta. 89 (Memorial) with a working fire involving multiple houses. E-85-4, E-85-5, Ladder-85, Tanker-85, and Rescue-85 all made a response. Units worked for over three hours before clearing.

12/17/17 Sussex EOC alerted Sta. 85 for a vehicle accident with one vehicle into a house. E-85-5, and Rescue-85 made a response and worked for 30 mins.

Update Engine-Tanker 85-2

November 12, 2017

Updated pics of the new Engine Tankers progression. Members will fly out next week for final inspection. Expect the truck on the streets by the new year.
