At 1620, Sussex EOC alerted Station 85 for yet another MVC at the intersection of Coastal Hwy & Broadkill Rd. 85-8, under the command of Deputy Chief Millman, arrived to find a two vehicle MVC with the vehicles approximately 1/2 mile apart. Chief Millman confirmed entrapment on one vehicle and requested ALS and the upgrade bringing Rescue Company 82 (Lewes) to the scene. Engine 85-5 and Rescue 85 arrived and completed a "blow out" of the whole driver side, and extricated the patient within six (6) minutes of arriving. 85-00 arrived and secured the northern most vehicle and assisted B-85 with loading their patient. Ambulance B-85 and D-82 transported patients to Beebe. Rescue Co. 82 was cancelled as they arrived. Deputy Chief Millman commanded the incident.
