R. William "Billy" Wright, Jr. was honored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars(Department of Delaware) with the VFW National Firefighter Award. The awards ceremony was held on May 07, 2016 at Carlisle Fire Company Station 42 Milford De., where Billy was recognized along with students and teachers as well as other branches of public service for contributions within their respective organizations. Billy was recognized by the VFW for his core values, courageous service, and leadership that has garnered him the respect and admiration of the community as well as his peers. Billy Wright's recognition for Firefighter of the Year for MFD and VFW National Firefighter are accolades that are long overdue for his dedication and leadership in service to our country and to Milton Fire Department, Inc.
