At approximately 1530 hours, Sussex ECC alerted Station 85 for a commercial vehicle fire on Collins Street, in Collins & Russell Development.  Deputy Chief Millman arrived a short time later to find a pile of debris on fire behind the building with no exposures.  Deputy Chief Millman made contact with the property owner who advised he was unaware of the burn ban or control burn laws.  Squad 85 arrived and extinguished the fire.  The property owner was advised of the proper procedures for control burns and units cleared.
