At 1329, Sussex EOC alerted Milton and Memorial (89) for a house fire at the above address. Engine 85-4 responded at 1332 under the command of Deputy Chief Clark. Sussex advised Engine 4 that the RP advised smoke and flames coming from her oven. Engine 4 arrived at 1336, taking the first due engine assignment, with Deputy Clark assuming Command. Engine 4's crew stretched a line into the kitchen to find a oven with a malfunctioning switch. Ladder 85 arrived next and assumed the first due special. Crews from the Ladder threw ground ladders to the A and B sides of the home. The Engineer from 85-4 assisted the Ladder crew throwing ladders to the "D" side. The crew from Engine 4 secured the oven and checked the wall for extension finding none. Command placed the sitution under control and returned all units as ready.
