Just after 0700 hours, Sussex ECC alerted Lewes (82), Station 85, and Rehoboth (86) for a structure fire with entrapment on Kendale Rd. in Lewes.  Engine 85, Engine-Tanker 85, Car 85, and Utility 85 (running as a buggie) responded.  Prior to Milton units arriving, 82-8 arrived to find a garage well off with a vehicle inside and no one around.  The duty officer attempted a brief search before conditions deteroriated and he was forced to retreat to the exterior.  Engine 82 arrived and began the initial attack.  Engine 85 arrived and assumed the second due engine assisting with water supply and fire attack.  Car-85 and Utility 85 arrived with Command placing Deputy 85 in charge of RIT and Assistant Chief Millman (85-16) as the interior officer.  Crews had the fire under control in about 20 minutes with final searches proving negative.  Lewes units remained on scene for about an hour assisting the FM and hitting hot spots.  Deputy 82 (Murray) had command.
