Assist Memorial Volunteer Fire Company MVC - Coastal Highway and Sugar Hill Road

At 1213, Memorial Fire Company with the Milton Fire Department, Sussex County Paramedics, and DSP aviation were dispatched to Coastal Highway and Sugar Hill Road for a MVC with reported entrapment. Medic 101 was a split medic already in the Argos Corner area made the response along with Command 89 from the same incident. Both units arrived on scene at 1218 to find a two vehicle t bone collision with no entrapment. 89-16 (Baker Sr.) established 89 command. Command had fire police shut down the north bound side of Coastal highway along with one lane of the southbound side. Crews from Rescue 85 and 85-4 assisted with packaging the patient and securing the vehicles. Command had 89-1 block the south bound lane. One patient was transport to MMH by A85 and Medic 101. Command placed the situation under control at 1235 with the roadway still closed until the vehicles were removed from the highway. All units cleared the scene at 1307 with Coastal highway being reopened. Units on scene- Command 89, 89-1, A89, Rescue 85, 85-4, 85-11, A85, Medic 101, DSP, DSFP. Story By: John Wothers
