At 1926 hours, Sussex EOC alerted Station 85 for a vehicle fire on Coastal Hwy in the area of Lockerman Rd. Engine-Tanker 85-2 responded under the direction of Asst. Chief Clendaniel, and arrived on scene to find a vehicle well off with a fire in the engine compartment. Crews from the Engine-Tanker stretched a front bumper line and made quick work of the fire. Ambulance 85 and Engine 85-4 also responded, their crews assisted the crew from the Engine-Tanker with overhaul. Units responding, Engine-Tanker 2, Engine 4, B-85, DSP, DSFP.
