Tonight, Milton firefighters staffed a two piece duty crew in the evening hours. While crews were cleaning the rigs and completing inventories of equipment, Station 82 (Lewes) was alerted for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment at the 5 Points Intersection in Lewes. Duty Chief Stadler (82-17) responded almost immediately. As part of a mutual aid agreement between Milton and Lewes, Milton advised Chief Stadler that we had multiple crews available to assist if needed. Chief Stadler requested a response from Rescue 85. Rescue 85 responded with a six man crew. Once on scene they were quickly put to work assisting the Lewes crews already on scene. Crews made quick work of the extrication and Lewes EMS transported the patient for evaluation. Rescue 85 was released soon after and returned to Milton. Station 85 maintained two additional crews while the Rescue was in Lewes.
