At 0720 hours, Station 85 was alerted for an accident on Coastal Hwy in the area of the Broadkill Bridge. Shortly after dispatch, the EOC upgraded the call to a MVC with entrapment and added a rescue from Lewes (82) to the response. Milton and Lewes units arrived and were able to quickly extricate the entrapped driver. One patient was transported by ground to Beebe, the other by Trooper 2 to Christiana. DSP is investigating and Rt 1 was shut down for an undetermined amount of time.
