Just after the nine o'clock hour, Station 85 was alerted for an outside fire on Round Pole Bridge Rd. in the area of Hudson Rd. Deputy Chief Hopkins (who was in the area) responded to the scene to find a large pile of tree limbs being burned by the property owner. Due to the burn ban, and possible health related complaints from neighbors in the area due to blowing smoke, Deputy Chief Hopkins advised the property owner that the fire would be extinguished. Engine 85-4 arrived a short time later and deployed the "front bumper turret" and extinguished the fire. Crews remained inservice for approx. 30 minutes.
