Just prior to the 9 o’clock hour, Station 85 along with an ambulance from Ellendale and Sussex County EMS were alerted to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment in Cedar Creek Rd. East of Jefferson Crossroads. Engine Tanker 2 responded and arrived on scene within 5 minutes to find a two vehicle MVC with subjects trapped in both vehicles. Engine Tanker 2s crew began extrication on the priority patient. Rescue 85 arrived next and began extrication on the patient in the second vehicle. Both patients were extricated within 10 minutes of arrival. Life net 2 transported one patient while ambulance 75 transported 2 patients. 85 units cleared when ready and turned the scene over to DSP.
