Patsy Burton, life member with 45 years of service was inducted into the Hall of Recognition for 2018. Her commitment and untiring efforts have helped keep our auxiliary strong over the past 52 years. As an auxiliary we know that we can always count on her to be there for the auxiliary and her community.
Patsy joined the auxiliary in February 1972. By 1977, she accepted the office of Recording secretary for a one-year term. In 1978, she was elected Vice President and held the office for four years before becoming President in 1982. Patsy held the office of President for eight years. During these eight years, our auxiliary grew significantly and we became very active in catering and hosting our bi-annual chicken and dumpling dinners. Patsy was a great leader and very active member and also participated in county and state level meetings throughout the years.
Patsy has been active in meetings, functions and every type of fundraiser that we have tried to offer through the auxiliary. She is considered the “resident sweet tea maker” and has it down to a science!! Patsy is a leader, teacher and friend to everyone because she knows how to do everything and is loved by all!
Faithful to her auxiliary, town, county and state, Patsy is truly an exemplary member of our organization. Her impact on the Milton Ladies Auxiliary and our community is truly recognized by our memberhip.
