At 1107 hours, Sussex EOC alerted Georgetown (77), Millsboro (83), and Milton for a structure fire at 10 E. Adams St., in Georgetown. 77 Command responded and arrived within minutes to find a single family home with smoke showing. Engine 77-4 arrived next and went to work placing a handline in service. As Engine 85-3 was approaching, they were assigned to come in off S. Race St. and hit a hydrant and lay in to the scene. Once Engine 3 arrived, their crew assisted the 77 crew with finding the attic access and extinguishing the fire. Ladder 77, Ladder 83, and Ladder 85 all arrived and completed various fireground task as assigned by Command. Engine 83-4 and Tanker 85 stood by on scene and Rescue 85 was diverted to Station 77 for a coverup. Command scaled the units back in a very short time. Units eventually cleared after overhaul was completed, with Command turning the scene over to the Fire Marshalls office.
