At 1611 hours, just as units were backing into the Station from a serious MVC, Sussex EOC alerted Milton, Ellendale (75) and Georgetown (77) for a shed fire on Gravel Hill Road, s/o Milton-Ellendale Hwy. Engine 85-4 responded immediately under the command of Assistant Chief Carey (85-19). Sussex advised Engine 4 that they were receiving conflicting reports that the fire may have extended into the home. Engine 4 and 85-8, under the command of Chief Clark (85-15) arrived to find two sheds well involved with exposures to a home. The crew from Engine 4 split and placed two attack lines into service, one on the fire, and the second protecting exposures. Additional units from Milton, Ellendale, and Georgetown arrived and assisted Engine 4s crew as needed. Chief Clark placed the situation under control at 1640 hours releasing units as they were ready.
