At 1514 hours, Sussex EOC alerted Station 85, and multiple ALS and BLS units for a serious motor vehicle collision on Harbeson Road, in front of Bob Willey and Sons. Chief Clark (85-15) responded immediately and was advised by Sussex EOC that they had varying reports, but they believed they have possibly two entrapped and one ejected. Chief Clark immediately requested a Rescue Company assist from Station 77. Deputy Chief Harvey (Deputy 85) arrived on scene and advised two vehicles, heavy damage with entrapment in both vehicles. Engine 85-4 and Ambulance 85 arrived a short time later. EMS crews split and assessed three separate patients in two vehicles, while the crew from Engine 4 began stabilization and extrication. Rescue 85 arrived next and began extrication on the second vehicle. Multiple ALS and BLS units arrived and were assigned to care for the three patients involved. Rescue 77 arrived and assisted as needed with extrication. In all, three patients were transported by A-85, A-73, and Trooper 2 to Beebe. Units remained on scene clearing the roadway and assisting DSP as needed.
