Just prior to 10 AM, as units were just getting back to quarters from a previous MVC, Sussex EOC alerted Station 85, Ambulance 82, and SCEMS Medic 104 for a MVC with roll over and possible entrapment at the above address. 85-Command responded with EMS Chief Millman and was advised a single vehicle rollover into the marsh, with a possibility of two people trapped. As Command was arriving, Sussex advised a second call back reported no injuries. EMS Chief Millman arrived and established Broadkill Rd. Command. Engine 4 and Rescue 85 arrived next and were tasked with stabilizing the vehicle and gaining access to the occupants. Engine 5 arrived and assisted the other crews on scene. Crews worked for about 10 minutes stabilizing the vehicle and placing ladders in the marsh to provide footing. After this was complete, the occupants were able to open the sunroof and exit the vehicle. Crews assisted the three occupants back to the shore. All occupants denied any injuries.
