Today at 15:53 Sussex EOC alerted Sta. 85 for an appliance fire in Shipbuilders Village. Engine Tanker 852 responded under the direction of LT J. Windsor, and arrived to find smoke showing from the front door. LT Windsor immediately requested the box alarm, alerting Sta. 77 (Georgetown), and Sta. 75 (Ellendale). Chief Harvey arrived and established 85 command. Crews from engine two found a microwave fire on the second floor and extinguished same with a water can. Chief Harvey placed the situation under control and held the response to 85 units.
Units responding were 852, 854, L85, 753, B85, 85-15, SCEMS DSFP.
