At 1232 hours, Sussex EOC alerted Ellendale Fire Co. (75) for a residential structure fire on Deer Forest Rd. just off of Dupont Blvd. Seconds later, Sussex EOC upgraded the call to a working alarm, adding Georgetown (77), Milton (85) and Sussex County EMS to the call. 75 Command under the direction of Asst. Chief Foster arrived on scene within minutes to find a home with fire on the exterior wall, "d" side with possible extension. Engine 77-4 arrived next and started extinguishment. Engine 75-3 arrived shortly after and placed a second line inservice to assist with extinguishment. Additional crews from Ellendale, Georgetown, and Milton assisted with searches and various other tasks. Asst. Chief Foster quickly scaled the incident back to the 75, 77 units and Engine Tanker 85-2. Ladder 85 provided cover up for Ellendale.
