At 2014 hours, Sussex EOC alerted Georgetown (77), Lewes (82) and Station 85 for a garage fire on Shingle Point Rd. just w/o Gravel Hill Rd. Engine-Tanker 85-2 was the first unit to respond under the command of Captain Jay Clark. Sussex EOC reported a single family home with heavy smoke throughout, with possibly a garage and attic fire. 77 Command (Stevenson) arrived and confirmed a single family home with heavy smoke showing. Chief Stevenson advised ET-85-2 to take the driveway and pull an attack line. ET-85-2 arrived and stretched a 250' line to the garage and began extinguishment. A second 150' bumper line was stretched to the front door. Tanker 77 and Ladder 85 arrived next, advancing the second line and completing searches. The three crews made quick work of the fire, holding the additional responding units for overhaul.
