At 1817 hours, Sussex EOC alerted Lewes (82), Station 85, and Rehoboth (86) for a house on fire, on Paul Ave. in the Carsyljan Acres neighborhood off of Sweetbriar Rd. 82 Command (Captain Chorman) was in the area and arrived at 1821 hours to find a single story home with smoke showing. Engine 85-4 arrived next, Command assigned them to the first due engine, and crews stretched an attack line into the structure. Engine 85-5 arrived next and crews assisted Engine 4 with fire attack. Command assigned Assistant Chief Clendaniel (85-17) as Operations. Engine 82-2 arrived next and finished the lay from the hydrant, securing water supply then sent crews to pull additional attack lines to assist the initial interior crew. Additional units from Lewes, Rehoboth, and Milton arrived and completed various jobs on the fire scene. Command placed the scene under control at 1851 hours, with the last 85 unit clearing at 2004.
