On April 8, 2017, a luncheon was held at Carlisle Fire Department where each year the VFW recognizes students who participate in essay contests, Teacher of the Year, JROTC Cadet of the Year, Policeman of the Year, EMT of the Year, and Firefighter of the Year.  

This year, our own EMS Supervisor, Valerie Springer, was recognized as the EMT of the Year for her dedication to the EMS service.  Val has been an EMT working for MFD since 1992, and has supervised our EMS staff since 1998.  We are very proud of Valerie for receiving this well deserved recognition and appreciate her many years of service and her commitment and dedication to Milton Fire Department, Inc.  Congratulations Val.
