In October 2015, the membership of the Milton Fire Department approved the purchase of a new ambulance to replace B-85. An Ambulance Committee had been formed earlier in the year and produced specifications for the Truck Committee and membership to approve. In December, President Hopkins signed the contract for the purchase of a 2016 Freightliner/Horton ambulance, to be purchased from Fesco Emergency Vehicles. Our salesman, Jeff Hill notified us today that Horton has began production of the new unit. We are hoping to go for final inspection the last week of August with the new unit entering service sometime in September.
