Just after 0400, Station 85 was alerted to assist Slaughter Beach (89) with a mulch fire on Draper Rd. Engine 4 and Ladder 85 responded within minutes. 89 Command (Jester) requested Engine 4 to set up a draft for water supply and requested Ladder 85 to the scene and set up for ladder pipe operations. Crews arrived and went to work setting up the aerial and assisting with the extinguishment of the fire. Tanker 85 and Rescue 85 also made the response to provide water and support. Crews remained on scene until approx. 0700 hours. Companies responding or providing cover-ups, Slaughter Beach, Milton, Carlisle, South Bowers, Houston, Ellendale, Greenwood, Georgetown, Bowers, Frederica, Indian River, and Millsboro.
