At 2138 hours, Sussex EOC alerted Milton Fire Dept. for a MVC at the intersection of Harbeson Rd. and Lewes-Georgetown Hwy. 85 Command responded with EMS Chief Millman, and arrived to find a three vehicle MVC with one vehicle in the middle of the intersection and one vehicle had fled. Engine 5 and the Rescue arrived next and were assigned to secure the vehicle in the roadway and initiate debris cleanup. A-85 arrived and assess two patients who were out of the vehicles and standing in the parking lot of a local business. Engine 4 arrived, checked the second vehicle, then assisted the other crews with debris cleanup. Command placed the situation under control at 2155 clearing the fire units shortly after. Fire Police remained on scene with DSP until the vehicle could be removed from the roadway. Units on scene: 85 Command, A-85, 85-5, 85-4, Rescue 85, DSP, DSFP.
